Waiting On Wednesday: Maybe Someday

'Waiting On Wednesday' is a weekly meme that is hosted over at Breaking The Spine, and is a way to show off a book that you are eagerly anticipating.

Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover, a passionate tale of friendship, betrayal, and romance—and the enchanting music that inspires one young woman to put her life back together.
Maybe Someday
At twenty-two years old, aspiring musician Sydney Blake has a great life: She’s in college, working a steady job, in love with her wonderful boyfriend, Hunter, and rooming with her good friend, Tori. But everything changes when she discovers Hunter cheating on her with Tori—and she is left trying to decide what to do next.
Sydney becomes captivated by her mysterious neighbor, Ridge Lawson. She can’t take her eyes off him or stop listening to the daily guitar playing he does out on his balcony. She can feel the harmony and vibrations in his music. And there’s something about Sydney that Ridge can’t ignore, either: He seems to have finally found his muse. When their inevitable encounter happens, they soon find themselves needing each other in more ways than one…
From the author of the New York Times bestsellers Slammed, Point of Retreat, Hopeless, This Girl, and Losing Hope, Maybe Someday is destined to become another bestseller and long-lasting fan favorite.

It's thanks to this weeks Top Ten Tuesday that I even know this is coming out. I really enjoyed Colleen Hoovers Slammed series, I thought Slammed was one of the best romance novels that I had read. That's high praise coming from me as I am not the biggest fan of purely romance storylines. I have heard amazing things about her other series Hopeless and have bought both on the Kindle to read. I am very excited that she now has a new book coming out, especially with a cover that I really love.

Currently Reading:

Champion (Legend, #3)Champion by Marie Lu (Legend #3)

I reread the first two books before getting to this because I was scared to read it. Now I am halfway through and absolutely loving it. It feels very different from the first two books, but in the best possible way. I also really love that so many questions that were just left completely unanswered or weren't acknowledged in the first two book are finally being answered and in great, amazing detail. Can't wait to have time to sit down and finish it.

Recently Finished:

Prodigy (Legend, #2)

Prodigy by Marie Lu (Legend #2)

I reread this before I started Champion and I really enjoyed it. I actually enjoyed Prodigy more than Legend, it had all the fast-paced action of the first but gave more time to character development and let you get to know the characters better. You can find my review here.

What I Plan To Read Next:

Control (Control, #1)

Control by Lydia Kang

I need to get to this because I have the arc and it's coming out soon so I want to get the review up on the blog. I was really excited when I got accepted for this one as it sounds really great. Hopefully it's an enjoyable read, the summary for it suggested it was like Uglies - a series I really enjoyed.

Dare You To (Pushing the Limits, #2)

Currently Reading:

Dare You To by Katie McGarry

Will probably end up finishing this tonight. Quite enjoying it so far, more than I did the first one. Although, it's hard for me to buy into the romance when I think the lead character Beth was better suited for someone else.

Pushing the Limits (Pushing the Limits, #1)

Recently Finished:

Pushing The Limits by Katie McGarry

I enjoyed half and didn't like half. As someone who doesn't read many romance stories, I know it's one most people will love. I'm just not as comfortable with so much cringe and angst! Review can be found here.

The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1)

What I'll Read Next:

The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins

Want to reread this before I go see The Hunger Games double bill on Wednesday night! So excited!!! Then will read my ARC of Crash Into You by Katie McGarry.

In the Blood

In The Blood by Sara Hantz

This is the one I am just about to start. It's an ARC I got from Netgalley and it sounded quite interesting. I've seen some pretty mixed reviews though, so I am a bit unsure!

Just Finished:
The Switch

The Switch by Dawn Pendleton & Andre Heltsley

Not sure if this counts as I technically didn't finish it. Not my type of book. You can find my review here.

What I Will Read Next:
Pushing the Limits (Pushing the Limits, #1)
Pushing The Limits by Katie McGarry

Will be reading all three of the books in this series, have the ARC for Crash Into You so want to read them in order.

The Naturals
Currently Reading:

The Naturals by Jennifer Lynn Barnes

Have just started but after reading Allegiant anything would look good and so far I am absolutely loving it. Probably because it is fast paced, with actual character development and it isn't putting me into a coma.

Allegiant (Divergent, #3)
Recently Finished:
Allegiant by Veronica Roth
The most boring book I have ever had the displeasure of reading. Ruined everything I had come to love about the first two books and made me have to write a spoiler free and spoiler filled review. For spoiler free review go here. And for spoiler filled go here.

Pushing the Limits (Pushing the Limits, #1)

What I will read next:

Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry

This is so I can read Crash Into You.

On The Blog:
I reviewed:
Insurgent by Veronica Roth
Allegiant (SPOILER FREE) by Veronica Roth
Allegiant (SPOILER FILLED) by Veronica Roth
Also on blog:
My weeks book haul.
My Feature and Follow Friday.
My musing for Monday.
Also my laptop has died so that's why I haven't been as active on the blog. Should hopefully have a new one on Friday.

This was a reread in time for Allegiant, as I have never posted a review for it on the blog that will be coming soon.

How I Live Now by Meg Rosoff

I was supposed to have finished this by now but I wanted to do a review for Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma as it's a book that really touched and stuck with me. So as I wrote the review it made me have to read it again! So now I can finally get to How I Live Now, which I'm really hoping is a great read. Expect a review soon.

This is a book that I have already read before but needed to read and review for the blog. I have to share my love for this amazing, touching book that left me shocked, angry and sobbing! And even then I could not hate it, all I could do was love it and try to urge everyone I knew to read it! Check out the review here.

117359838306857What will I read next:

Divergent & Insurgent by Veronica Roth

Well as any Divergent fan knows, Allegiant is out in just 6 days (not that I'm counting or anything!) and I can't wait. So in order to prepare I am going to reread the first two books. I haven't reviewed them on the blog yet so I may post reviews as well, in preparation for the Allegiant book.

Since last Wednesday I have also read and reviewed:

The Sight by David Clement-Davies
Alienated by Melissa Landers

The Sight was a review for a favourite that dates all the way back to childhood, it has a special place in my heart and like all favourites it's a 5/5. Alienated was a book I was unsure of before I read it and then ended up absolutely loving it, I already have this pre-ordered for the release next year.

Thanks to the wonderful people who have recently followed my blog, it makes my day when someone takes the time to follow me. So thank you Unravelling Words, A Place on the Bookshelf, Reading in the Dark, Boho Book Lover, In Italics, T. M. Crone, Twin Spin & The Procrastinator's Corner.

The sequel to Time Between Us. I am absolutely loving the fact that I am now getting Bennett's point of view. It's really refreshing and I am enjoying getting to know him better as a character. Will probably have this finished rather quickly, so expect a review soon!
