I Can't Believe I Own These Books And Still Haven't Read Them

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted at The Broke & The Bookish.

This weeks topic is:

I can't believe I own these books and still haven't read them!

This weeks topic was just about books that you can't believe you still haven't gotten to. That list could be absolutely endless and understandably so, there are so many books and so little time to read them. I think it's far worse that I own so many of these books already, so really have no excuse not to have got to them already.

And, just so you know, I am going to be using far more than 10, but still a lot less than I actually own and haven't read yet. I have a problem, but I feel you fellow bookworms will understand!

Most of these are series that are well loved and ones I have been planning to read for so long now. I definitely need to try my hardest to get through some of these before the end of the year. Diane Chamberlain is an auto buy author for me and I really enjoy her books, so I have no clue why I have bought her last 7 releases and not read them yet. I own FIVE Maggie Stiefvater books and have never read them. This is terrible! I've owned her Shiver series for years now, but have just never picked it up. All the love I hear for her books makes me really want to hurry up and get to them. Not to mention the fact that Cait over at Paper Fury raves about her books constantly.

I thought I'd also let you all know that I am hosting a giveaway over on Instagram, for any of you wonderful people who are on there. You can find it here.

  2. I read The Vampire Academy series recently! I really liked the entire series, but it is definitely one that gets better after every book! The Shatter Me series is a funky one for me, I didn't like the first two very much, but then someone convinced me to read Ignite Me and it was AWESOME!
    Good luck reading these!

    1. That's good to know about Shatter Me, gives me a reason to push through if I don't like books one or two.

  3. Wow, it looks like you'll have a great reading experience when you get around to reading these books. I absolutely adored Hopeless and Losing Hope. I hope that you love them too and the rest of the books on your list! My TTT

  4. Okay this is just sad because most of these I own and haven't read either, or at least started the series and have yet to finish even though the first book was fantastic. :(
So don't feel bad, I am right there along with you!

  5. The Shatter Me trilogy is really good! But you have to read Destroy Me inbetween, it's an essential novella, I think. And the Darkest Minds I enjoyed as well. Angelfall and World After are absolutely epic and The Lord of the Rings is probably one of my favorite series ever. I definitely enjoyed the Vampire Acadey series as well and Stephanie Perkins and Colleen Hoover have so far never disappointed me.

It sounds like you're going to have a great time reading these because the ones I've read I HIGHLY enjoyed. :)

  6. Wow! Lots of awesome reads that need reading! I loved Vampire Academy, the Shiver trilogy--or quartet now I guess!, The Immortal Rules trilogy, Penryn and the End of Days series...all fantastic reads! Hope you get to read some of these soon!

    Here's my Tuesday Post

    Have a GREAT day!

  7. Oi you, read Angelfall and Raven Boys like, pronto. Seriously, you think I'm kidding, Angelfall was just - you have no idea, the fangirling, it was real, so get on that, The Raven Boys, yeah, I mean, it took me a while, but it'll be so worth it, I promise you, listen to Cait too! She knows her stuff! I gotta' say though, I'm jealous of so many books here, The Archived, Darkest Minds, Shatter Me, they're like, never on offer, it's so annoying and frustrating and just urgh. This is a fabulous list though! :D

  8. yes all bookworms understand. I sometimes wonder if I have more of addiction to aquiring books than reading books. But then I remember no I love to read them just as much. I havn't read shatter me but really want to one day. I liked Angelfall but haven't read the second book. I really enjoyed Half Band and Darkest Minds but still have to read the next two books. I also enjoyed anna and the french kiss and loal and the boy next door. There are some really good ones on your list. you should probably dig into them and read.

  10. Wow, so many books to choose from! You absolutely need to read Angelfall! It's Amazing! But despite that, I haven't read/completed many of these series either. I've read the first two books in the VA series but somehow couldn't get into the third one. I'm going to try rereading it though. I've also read the first books in The Darkest Minds and Shatter Me trilogies and I absolutely loved them! You should definitely pick them up, they won't disappoint!
Good luck on your reading :)

  13. I recently read The Archived and it was great, I'm now waiting for my copy of The unbound to arrive. The immortal rules was fantastic! Bloody and dark. I love the characters in The raven boys and I can't wait to read Scorpio races.

  14. Oh man!! You have some doozies there and some of my favorite series! I totally recommend Stiefvater. I almost recommend you start with her Shiver series, because I think The Raven Boys is stronger overall. I also loved Angelfall. I was not expecting to since I don't have good track record with Angel books, but it was so much fun! Good luck and have fun!!

  15. You haven't read The Lord of the Rings?! They're really good but I do prefer The Hobbit (book-wise not film-wise).
Out of your picks, apart from TLOTR, I've only read Shiver, Linger and Forever. As well as Hopeless which I found disappointing :/

  16. Angelfall!! I have a zillion reason why you need to read it ASAP... GO!! Read it, it's too awesome not to! I need to read the majority of these myself. I own the first book in the Vampire Diaries series, too, so soon it shall be read =)

  17. Whoa, I am sure there are a lot on this list for me as well! I have heard some amazing things about the Angelfall and Archived series, so you should really get to those! As for Half Bad, Shatter Me and Vampire Academy - I feel the same! I read The Hobbit and really hated it, which makes it hard for me to try the Lord of the Rings series. I will eventually, hopefully :3

  18. The LOTR books (and The Hobbit) made my list too. Although I do not have them, but I still really want to read them because I did love the movies. Well, I loved LOTR movie, Hobbit is just okay.

  23. Well you're preaching to the choir here. Lol.
Half Bad is awesome. I can't wait till I have Half Wild in my hands.
I had a lot of problems with Shatter Me. But I decided to continue with the series when Ignite Me was coming out, mostly because I didn't want to get spoiled. Soooo glad I did. Because I thoroughly enjoyed Unravel Me and absolutely loved Ignite Me.
Lord of the Rings is my bread and butter. But I will admit that I love the movies more. Blasphemy, I know.
    Hopeless will require tissues.
I still need to reach a Schwab book.
Scoprio Races is my favourite Stiefvater book. Although I love all her books.
And Vampire Academy is so much fun. Definitely when you need something engaging and funny give it a go.
    Happy reading!
